1. Service access and eligibility

Apollo & Mercy is operated by Apollo & Mercy LLC. You may create an account when registration is available. We may limit or pause new account creation at any time. Joining the waitlist does not create an account or guarantee access.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. We ask authenticated account holders for an explicit 18+ attestation when they accept these Terms; we do not ask for or store the account holder's date of birth.

The service and its features will evolve. We may add, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features or service availability, including to maintain security, reliability, legal compliance, or product quality. Features may perform unexpectedly or be temporarily unavailable, so keep independent copies of information you cannot afford to lose and report suspected security or safety issues responsibly.

2. The service and veterinary disclaimer

Apollo & Mercy helps dog owners organize, review, and share information such as profiles, health events, vaccinations, medications, documents, emergency details, reminders, Smart Import results, Vet Share links, and Vet Packets.

Apollo & Mercy is not a veterinary provider. The service does not provide veterinary care, diagnosis, treatment, medical advice, or emergency services, and it is not a substitute for a veterinarian's judgment. Information may be incomplete, outdated, incorrectly entered, incorrectly extracted, or unavailable. Verify important information against original records and with a qualified veterinarian.

Do not delay seeking professional care because of information in the service. For an urgent or emergency concern, contact a veterinarian or emergency veterinary facility immediately.

3. Account responsibilities and consent

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your credentials and devices, maintaining the confidentiality of your account, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account to the extent permitted by law.

Before using authenticated account features, you must affirm that you are 18 or older, accept the then-current versions of these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and acknowledge the veterinary-information disclaimer above. Apollo & Mercy records your user ID, the accepted Terms and Privacy versions, your age attestation, and the database-generated acceptance time. This legal-acceptance record does not itself grant subscription access or any other benefit.

You may not share credentials, impersonate another person, access another account without authorization, or use an invitation intended for someone else.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Apollo & Mercy to:

  • violate law, another person's rights, or contractual or confidentiality obligations;
  • upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harmful, or malicious;
  • probe, scan, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or circumvent security, access, rate, or technical controls except where applicable law expressly permits;
  • introduce malware, scrape the service at scale, automate abusive requests, or interfere with another person's use;
  • use output as a substitute for professional veterinary judgment or represent that Apollo & Mercy has verified medical accuracy; or
  • develop or train a competing service using nonpublic parts of Apollo & Mercy without written permission.

5. Your content and sharing choices

You retain the rights you have in content you submit. You grant Apollo & Mercy a limited, nonexclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the service and as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the content you add and for having permission to upload and share it. Sharing tools can disclose sensitive dog, owner, or care information to recipients you choose. Review recipients, permissions, documents, link settings, and generated materials before sharing, and revoke access when it is no longer appropriate.

6. Intellectual property

Apollo & Mercy, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, features, and other service materials, is owned by Apollo & Mercy LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

If you voluntarily provide feedback, you grant Apollo & Mercy permission to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.

7. Third-party services

Apollo & Mercy relies on third-party providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, storage, security, email delivery, and document processing. Their services may be unavailable or governed by separate terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, subject to applicable law.

Adoptable-dog directory. The dog and rescue listings at apolloandmercy.com/adopt are provided by independent shelters and rescue groups through RescueGroups.org. Apollo & Mercy does not own or place these animals, does not process adoptions or applications, and does not verify listing details. Any adoption is between you and the rescue. Please confirm a dog’s details, availability, and fees directly with the rescue.

8. Subscriptions, renewal, and cancellation

Apollo & Mercy costs $7.99 per month. A 14-day free trial is available only once per person. A card is required to begin the trial; the first $7.99 charge occurs on day 15 unless you cancel before the trial ends. After that, the subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. Creating an account or joining the waitlist does not guarantee free service, fixed pricing, lifetime pricing, or permanent access, and neither automatically enrolls you in a paid subscription without your express agreement.

If we change the price, we will notify you by email in advance. The new price applies from your next billing period, and you can cancel before it takes effect. Stripe sends trial-ending reminders, payment receipts, and failed-payment notices by email.

To cancel, open your account page and choose Manage subscription to reach the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation of a paid subscription takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access through that period. If you cancel during the free trial before day 15, you will not be charged for the first month.

Except where required by applicable law, subscription charges already paid are nonrefundable. Payments are processed by Stripe. After subscription access ends, your account becomes read-only: you can still view, export, or delete your information, but you cannot add or change care records unless you regain access.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. You may request account assistance by contacting us. Apollo & Mercy may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, address suspected misuse or legal risk, respond to an emergency, or modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the service.

Where practical, we will provide notice. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, and general terms—will continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, noninfringement, accuracy, availability, or security.

We do not warrant that the service, reminders, extracted information, generated materials, or shared links will be complete, accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some exclusions may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apollo & Mercy LLC and its members, personnel, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, opportunities, or business interruption, arising from or related to the service or these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, their total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Apollo & Mercy for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law and do not limit liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Terms with a new “Last updated” date and require authenticated users to accept a new version before continued use when appropriate.

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our written permission; we may transfer them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the service unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
